On 30 January, the annual Tourdera project monitoring and coordination committee was held in the municipality of Fogars de Montcl\u00fas. This meeting brings together the 18 municipalities participating in the project to review the actions carried out during the year and discuss the main current and future issues affecting the route.<\/div>\n

As we have already informed you on previous occasions, the project monitoring committees are the governance bodies where the different entities involved in the management of the Tourdera make decisions, report on activities, and deal with other project-related matters. These entities include the 18 participating municipalities, the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, which acts as the Technical Office, and the Parc Natural del Montseny, which participates in the maintenance of certain sections.<\/p>\n

This year, the monitoring committee took place at the Fogars de Montcl\u00fas Town Hall, in the village of Mosqueroles, in the heart of the Parc Natural del Montseny. The meeting opened with remarks by the Councillor for Economic Development and Tourism, Mr Gerard Pi\u00e9, who highlighted Fogars de Montcl\u00fas’ commitment to the Tourdera project and its contribution to reducing the seasonality of tourism in the municipality by spreading visitor activity more evenly throughout the year. He was followed by the Tourism Councillor of the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, Jennifer P\u00e9rez, who thanked the 18 Tourdera municipalities for making the project possible and highlighted the County Council’s commitment to the initiative, which is why it was presented just over a week ago at the FITUR tourism fair in Madrid<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Next, the Tourdera project technician presented the main actions carried out within the project during 2025, as set out in the agreement signed by all project participants. The presentation highlighted the arrival of funding to carry out new actions on the Tourdera through the Hydroscopia – REGEN cross-border project<\/a>, in which the Consell Comarcal participates together with ten other partners. The current state of the route was also reviewed, particularly following the latest full inspection of the route<\/a>, and several topics were put forward for discussion and assessment by the different municipalities. During the open discussion, the representatives of the various municipalities debated the different proposals raised, and these conversations continued during the refreshments offered to attendees by the Fogars de Montcl\u00fas Town Hall.<\/p>\n
