After a first event held on 11 December in the Plenary Hall of the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, on Wednesday 21 January the launch of the Hydroscopia Network<\/strong> was officially formalised in Canet-en-Roussillon. This is a cross-border working space from which the Hydroscopia – REGEN<\/strong> project has emerged and which will bring actions directly to the Tourdera.<\/p>\n

As we already informed you last July in this article<\/a>, the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, together with Canet-en-Roussillon Town Council and other partners, began creating a cross-border network called the Hydroscopia Network<\/strong> to work within the framework of integrated water management: protection, research, integrated management, enhancement and dissemination of the natural and cultural heritage linked to water, and so on.<\/p>\n

The Hydroscopia Network is configured as a cross-border group of organisations that will work on water management from different disciplines. Each of these disciplines will be developed through the creation of different projects. Precisely during 2025, the first of these projects was created: a project designed to work on the tourism side, named Hydroscopia – REGEN <\/strong>, whose aim is to enhance water heritage for sustainable and regenerative tourism.<\/p>\n

In the specific case of Hydroscopia – REGEN, 10 network partners became actively involved, coming from various organisations in southern and northern Catalonia. In April 2025, a project proposal was submitted to the POCTEFA European funding call<\/strong>, a cross-border cooperation programme created to promote the sustainable development of the border area of Spain, France and Andorra, and which co-finances cooperation projects managed by actors on both sides of the Pyrenees. The project, which was awarded funding, was officially presented on 11 December in Santa Coloma de Farners and on 21 January in Canet-en-Roussillon.<\/p>\n

The general objective of Hydroscopia – REGEN is to enhance water heritage for sustainable and regenerative tourism. The project partners are: Canet-en-Roussillon Town Council, which leads the project; the Consells Comarcals of la Selva and Ripoll\u00e8s; the Consorci del Ter; the universities of Girona, Vic and Perpignan; the Catalan Pyrenees-Mediterranean Urban Planning Agency (AURCA); the Campus of Water Trades and Qualifications; and the Casa de l\u2019Aigua i de la Mediterr\u00e0nia.<\/p>\n
