This May, we started the first annual review of the Tourdera route with the aim of checking its general status and identifying any incidents in both the itinerary and the signage. From the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, as the coordinating entity of the project, we carry out two full reviews of the layout each year and transfer all detected incidents to the municipal managers in charge of their maintenance.<\/p>\n

With these reviews, we want to guarantee the good condition and functionality of the route, as well as verify that previously notified incidents have been resolved by the maintenance managers of each area. For this reason, we walk the entire route twice a year to identify any alteration, whether related to signage or the state of the path, that might hinder following the itinerary. All incidents are recorded and monitored through our Geographic Information System, with the aim of maintaining rigorous control of both the issues and their resolution process.<\/p>\n

We remind you that anyone using the route can notify any incident detected during the journey, either through the web form<\/a> or by contacting us directly. From the project’s general coordination, we take care of transferring the incident to the administration or entity responsible for the maintenance of the affected section or signage, and we follow up to ensure it is resolved appropriately.<\/p>\n

In general, the most common incidents on the Tourdera route, as often happens in similar itineraries, are related to signage (such as banners or markers), either due to vandalism or wear caused by the passage of time and weather conditions. For this reason, we recommend planning the itinerary well before starting the route or downloading the track, in order to correctly follow the journey in case any signage element is missing. Also, remember that you can follow the route through Wikiloc, as the Tourdera is part of the ORG community of this platform and provides an outdoor navigation system that will allow you to see your position on the map at all times, as we explain in this news item on our website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
