Although many of you already know it, it is always good to remember the philosophy of the Tourdera project and the involvement of the different administrations that make the project possible. That is why we have prepared this short article, which will help you better understand the project and its benefits for the territory.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

For some years now, the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, together with 18 town councils in the Tordera basin, has been coordinating the development of the Tourdera project, also known as the Tordera and Arb\u00facies stream route. To do this, the council has signed a collaboration agreement with each of the town councils and annually holds a follow-up meeting with all of them to assess the actions taken and plan new ones.<\/p>\n

The Tourdera project, which was born with the aim of promoting the territorial development of the participating municipalities, consists of a route, to be done on foot or by bicycle, that follows the river courses of the Tordera and the Arb\u00facies stream. With the route, a movement of visitors through the territory is achieved, who make the route, which in the end ends up influencing the local economies of the municipalities: restoration, overnight stays, guides, rentals, etc.<\/p>\n

Precisely, this year a directory of companies on the website<\/a> has been activated so that users can prepare the route and anticipate the places where they will stay, eat, rent bicycles, etc. Any company in the municipalities participating in the route can participate, by providing the necessary data and consent to publish them. If you are a businessman in the area and are interested, do not hesitate and get in touch with us<\/a>!<\/p>\n

In general, the Tourdera project aims to help in the revitalization of the inland municipalities, which on their own have little capacity to attract visitors, but at the same time it also seeks to complement the offer of the coastal municipalities, which already receive many visitors on their own, but which need to diversify their offer to be more attractive. In fact, related to this article, recently different media have echoed the project and its role as an element of territorial revitalization, such as Punt Avui<\/a>, Geri\u00f3 Digital<\/a>, Les Vegueries.cat,<\/a> the channel Girona Not\u00edcies <\/a>or Canal Ajuntament<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the project’s website<\/a> you can access all the information about the route, with a detailed map, points of interest, impacts, detailed description of the sections, etc. It is a route that, globally, exceeds 200km of routes, has its own signage and is very well connected with up to 9 train stations.<\/p>\n

The Tourdera, as we have said, takes place through the 18 participating town councils, which are part of the regions of La Selva, Maresme and Vall\u00e8s Oriental, in the provinces of Girona and Barcelona.
