On October 18th, the newspaper Punt Avui published, in both its paper and digital editions, a report on the “Ruta de la Tordera i riera d’Arb\u00facies (Tourdera)”, highlighting key aspects of the route such as the fact that it connects the Montseny and the Mediterranean, the good train connections to access the route, its focus on the economic development of the municipalities through which it passes, etc.<\/p>\n

As you know, the Tourdera is an itinerary, for both walking and cycling, that connects the Montseny Massif (where the Tordera river is born) with the Mediterranean Sea (where it flows into). Throughout its entire route, it passes through the different urban centers of the participating municipalities, with the main objective of contributing to the economic revitalization of these towns, while being very well connected to up to 9 train stations.<\/p>\n

Precisely these two factors are what led the Punt Avui newspaper to publish an extensive article on the route on October 18th, in which these facts, how the project works and is managed, etc., are highlighted. In the article, it is also noted that it is possible to reach the route by public transport, either by one of the 9 train stations where the route passes, or, in the Montseny sections, by means of the “Bus Parc” promoted by the Montseny Natural Park.<\/p>\n

Another point to highlight in the article is the recently restored train station building of Santa Maria de Palautordera, which we already talked about in this old article<\/a>. In this space, managed by a concessionary company (Rutatur<\/a>), and which you can find in the Tourdera company directory<\/a>, Tourdera users can find information and various tourist services \u2013such as bicycle rental, transfers, walking routes with an audio guide, or guided mountain bike or e-bike<\/i> routes, etc.<\/p>\n
