The consolidation work on the slopes of the Tordera River in the town of Tordera, which were severely affected by Storm Gloria, continues to advance. Currently, the most complex work, which was the consolidation of the slope with stone riprap, is already finished, and in the coming weeks, the second phase of the project will begin to return the space to its initial state.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

After many weeks of work, the Tordera slopes in the town of Tordera have been repaired from the serious damage caused during the month of January by the strong flooding of the river. The entire right bank of the Tordera as it passes through the town has been consolidated with stone riprap to protect the town at this meander of the river. In the coming weeks, a second phase of the project will begin, consisting of the installation of protective fences, consolidation of the ground in certain areas with a base of compacted decomposed granite, etc., so that the space is available as it was before, with the expectation that it will be completed in the second quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n

If you are thinking of doing the Tordera route at this point, you should know that as a result of the works, a small part of the route is cut off and you must use a provisional diversion of approximately 400m. It is a short route that will momentarily separate you from the river, passing through the Parc de l’alcalde Sagrera.
