Following the damage caused by Storm Gloria<\/a>, especially severe throughout the Tordera river basin and particularly in areas near the watercourses (where the Tordera route and Arb\u00facies stream pass), we can now inform you that numerous improvement actions have been carried out and that most of the route sections are operational. However, always check the status of the route via the website and the itinerary map<\/a> before doing any section to learn about possible issues yet to be resolved.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The magnitude of the work, as well as the forced stoppages due to COVID-19 impacts, meant that for several months, passage along the entire route could not be guaranteed, which is why we chose not to recommend cycling and hiking on its sections. In some cases, the adaptation works will continue until the end of 2020, such as the works on the Pont d’en Pixota in Blanes, which affect the route’s path in this municipality.<\/p>\n

Likewise, we can announce that most sections of the route are now operational, although there are some restrictions that you should check on the itinerary map<\/a> and the fact sheet for each section. For all points where passage is blocked, a provisional detour of the route has been proposed, which will be signposted on the ground. In the meantime, we provide you with the map of these detours in the itinerary section, as well as the tracks through the Wikiloc platform.<\/p>\n

You will also find on the itinerary map, as well as on the section fact sheets, notices about areas where you need to cycle\/walk with caution as a result of the heavy rains. In future posts, we will keep you informed of the work that has been carried out on the route, the signage for the provisional detours, and any other issues that are important for completing the route.<\/p>\n
