Last Friday, November 24th, the V Tourism Forum of La Selva took place, the annual meeting point for tourism in the La Selva region which, in this year’s edition, debated cycle tourism, cycling, and mountain biking as elements of the territory’s tourism offering. At Tourdera, we had the opportunity to present the project and the current status of the actions projected for this year, 2017.
In the first block, two cycle tourism destinations were presented: Argelès, France, and Lloret de Mar as a local territory. In the second block, the Costa Brava – Girona Pyrenees Tourism Board presented the Sports Tourism Marketing Club (cycling and MTB), followed by the presentation of the Girona Greenways Consortium with the Bed&Bike distinctive seal. In a third and final block, practical cases were presented by agents in the territory linked to cycle tourism, such as the La Selva County Council with the presentation of the Tourdera project, Traveltec (incoming agency for active tourism), Wikiloc (online application company), Pedals de Serrallonga (MTB incoming agency), and Evenia Travel (incoming agency for active tourism).
At Tourdera, we gave a presentation explaining the Tordera and Arbúcies stream route, covering both its objectives for territorial revitalization and the current status of the interventions executed during this year, 2017. Likewise, we also took the opportunity to give a brief introduction to the actions planned for the upcoming year, 2018.
