This May, the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, through a Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination (PSTD), carried out a tourist signage project in Arbúcies along the entire Tourdera section that follows the Arbúcies stream. The aim of the project is to highlight the area’s cultural and natural heritage while improving the visitor experience along this part of the Tordera route.
This action forms part of the Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination (PSTD) La Selva Interior, co-financed through the European Next Generation EU funds under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, fully funded by the European Union, and carried out with the participation of the Arbúcies Town Council.
Specifically, the installed elements include different types of interpretive signage and infrastructure such as:
- Wall plaques
- Interpretive lecterns
- Information panels
These resources have been installed along the Arbúcies stream promenade, an itinerary that forms part of the Tordera route as it passes through the municipality and follows the course of this waterway. The interpretations cover elements such as the Molí de les Pipes, the Farga del Roquer, the Gorg Nou, several hand-pump fountains found throughout the town centre, and also explain the promenade itself and the relationship between water and leisure, among other topics.
Below you can find a selection of images showing the installed signage, and we invite you to explore this section of the Tourdera to discover them for yourself!
