For a few weeks now, the section of the Tourdera that follows the Arbúcies stream, in the municipality of Arbúcies, also known as the “Passeig per la riera” (Stream Walk), has been in perfect condition for hiking and cycling. After Storm Gloria, the section was severely damaged in some areas, which required actions to restore it, especially in the Can Cassó area.
Until recently, the section of the Tourdera that follows the Arbúcies stream upstream from the town of Arbúcies had several points where Storm Gloria damaged the ground, causing severe erosion, damage, etc. Although the section was totally passable, it had to be done with caution, both on foot and by mountain bike.
Some ground improvement actions were carried out months ago, but other cases required larger-scale interventions, which have now been solved. We hope, therefore, that this autumn you will be able to enjoy this very pleasant section next to the stream.
