Improvement works in the municipality of Hostalric

As we have been informing you over the last few days, little by little, the improvement works carried out along the Tourdera route following the passage of Storm Gloria and the slow return to normality with the confinement period are being seen. Today we inform you about the important works that the Hostalric City Council has carried out on the layout of the Tordera route through its municipality. Remember that before doing any section of the route, we have made the route map with the current conditions available to Tourdera users.

Specifically, the storm strongly affected the municipalities of Hostalric, Fogars de la Selva, Sant Feliu de Buixalleu, and Massanes. In Hostalric, the storm caused the path on the banks of the Tordera, in the orchard area, to disappear, as well as washing away the ford over the Arbúcies stream (Parc de les Rieres area) and damaging the fences of the BV-5123 road bridge where the route also passes.

Below we show you some of the improvements that have already been carried out, with images of the effects of the storm and the improvements made:

Flooding of the banks of the Tordera behind the Hostalric orchards during Gloria
