Since the end of December, and during the month of January, we have been carrying out reviews of the Tourdera and issuing reports to each of the maintenance managers, in order to detect problems on the route and be able to prepare it for the arrival of good weather.
During this review of the route, which belongs to the route diagnosis from the end of 2022, a total of 129 incidents have been detected spread across the 18 municipalities participating in the route. For each town council, we prepare a detailed report, with a file for each incident, which we send to the entity in charge of maintenance in that municipality, which broadly speaking can be the town council itself through its municipal brigade, the maintenance team of the Montseny Natural Park, the route maintenance service of the Consell Comarcal de la Selva or the Fundació Acció Baix Montseny.
Route maintenance is a basic aspect when it comes to offering a quality product for end users, which is why we carry out two complete reviews of the entire route every year and communicate everything detected to the maintenance managers of each municipality. Likewise, we also have a web form so that the route’s own users can inform us of any incidents they detect (www.tourdera.cat/incidencies).
During the month of January, all the reports detailing the state of the route during 2022 have been issued, describing all incidents regarding both the surface and the signage. During the review carried out, the greatest number of incidents has been, as always, regarding signage, a normal fact considering that there are more than 850 signage supports and 1800 signs on the route. Specifically, 85% of the incidents were regarding signage, well above the 15% regarding the sections (surface). Furthermore, they are usually minor incidents, that is, unimportant and which do not compromise the correct following of the path (74%).
