On Friday, October 19th, the six-monthly monitoring meeting for the “Tordera and Arbúcies stream route (Tourdera)” took place at the Vallgorguina Town Hall, with representatives from the different municipalities participating in the project. During the meeting, where the actions carried out over the last few months were reviewed, the program of activities planned for next year, 2019, was presented and discussed.
Following the dynamic of six-monthly meetings between the different municipalities promoting the Tourdera project, the latest meeting took place in Vallgorguina, one of the municipalities with an active section of the route. This year, 2018, with the consolidation of sections in 11 municipalities, the route has already reached an important stage of maturity, where more than 50% of the route is currently active and practicable.
During the meeting, and as one of the main novelties, the participation of the Girona Provincial Council in financing the actions to be carried out in the Girona municipalities was announced, establishing June 2019 as the deadline for having the entire route operational in all municipalities. Therefore, the project is already in its final implementation phase and a new stage is beginning where the promotion and creation of tourism products will take over from the route creation actions.
Periodic meetings with the different municipalities are very productive, as relevant issues within the framework of the route are decided among everyone.
