Last Friday, May 5th, the latest follow-up meeting for the “Ruta de la Tordera i riera d’Arbúcies” project took place at the Hostalric Town Hall. As you know, these meetings are held a couple of times a year to update and report on the tasks carried out in the various participating municipalities, as well as to define future actions.
During the last meeting, attended by almost all of the 18 municipalities participating in the project, we were informed of the execution forecasts for the works in the Barcelona municipalities during this year 2017, some of which have already started, with the aim of finishing the tasks by the end of the year. Likewise, information was provided on the forecasts for the Girona municipalities, where a period extending until the end of 2018 is expected.
During the meeting, information was also provided on the creation of a GIS for the management of the route, the activation of the profile on wikiloc, and promotional actions, such as the future presentation of the project at the 6th International Bicycle Congress, etc.
Thus, we are entering a very important period of project maturation, in which by the end of the year, a good part of the main route will be operational, from the sea to the Montseny.
