Although we announced that it would not be until autumn, we have the good news to communicate that the Gualba Town Council has already been able to carry out the actions to make its section of the Tordera Route a reality. Specifically, this is the Gualba connecting itinerary, which allows you to go from the town of Gualba to the main route layout, in La Batllòria or Gualba de Baix.
This week, the signage tasks for the Tordera route between the town of Gualba, at the foot of the Montseny, and the centers of La Batllòria and Gualba de Baix, near the Tordera and the future main section of the Tourdera, have been completed. So, if you are up for it, you can now do this section of just over 6 kilometers, which runs between crop fields and forests, and follows the old royal road of Gualba in a very pleasant and interesting environment.
The difficulty of the section is low, as it is a 6.3-kilometer route with gentle slopes, as you can see in the technical sheet of the sections. Following the route signage, both the banners and the tracking markers, you will have no problems following the itinerary, which is suitable for both bicycles and hikers. Remember not to deviate from the existing signage and to make use of the safety and respect for nature recommendations.
In the following two links you can consult the section sheet, depending on whether you do it in the downhill or uphill direction, and you will find all the technical information and a link to Wikiloc if you want to download the track:
The actions carried out have been financed by the Barcelona Provincial Council (Tourism Department) and executed by the Gualba Town Council.
