Gaserans – La Batllòria section

Continuing with the publication of information about new Tourdera sections on the website, today we present the section between Gaserans (municipality of Sant Feliu de Buixalleu) and La Batllòria (municipality of Sant Celoni). This section has the peculiarity that it takes a part of the Tourdera’s main itinerary, that is, along the Tordera river, and another part forms part of the itinerary along the Riera d’Arbúcies, next to the Arbúcies stream.

As with the latest information, a good part of the section we present between La Batllòria and Gaserans has been signposted very recently. Specifically, it is a 12.5-kilometer section, with a maximum accumulated ascent of 69 meters, which runs along the Tordera river for one part and along the Arbúcies stream for the other. During the section, you can visit interesting places such as the Les Llobateres wetland, an old aggregate extraction site restored as a wetland, or the Gorg d’en Perxistor where, according to tradition, Ramon Berenguer II, Cap d’Estopes, was murdered at the hands of his brother Berenguer Ramon the Fratricide (currently there is a commemorative monument).

You will find information about the section in the following links on the website, which vary depending on the direction in which you want to do it:

We leave you with some photographs of the section, hoping you like it and will use it soon!
