Hostalric – La Batllòria Section

Continuing with the task of offering all the information on the new sections of the Tourdera, you can now download the tracks and get information on the section that links Hostalric with the center of La Batllòria (Sant Celoni). This section was one of the last sections of the route’s main itinerary, which can now be done from the source (Montseny) to the mouth (Malgrat de Mar or Blanes).

The information for a new section of the “Tordera and Arbúcies stream route” is now available, in this case between Hostalric and La Batllòria. As you know, in recent weeks an important task of signposting the remaining sections of the route has been completed and we are gradually uploading all the information to the website. This new section is very important because it allows you to have all the information of the route’s main itinerary, from the source, at Font Bona (municipality of Montseny) to the mouth (currently you have information up to Malgrat de Mar and, soon, you will have information up to Blanes).

Part of this new section runs through protected areas such as the Arbúcies stream (PEIN space and Natura 2000 Network) or some sections of the Tordera river itself (Natura 2000 Network). So it is very important that you always pay attention to the recommendations for respecting nature.

The section we present here has a very low difficulty, with practically no unevenness, although its length varies between 8 and 12 kilometers, depending on the point in Hostalric you take as the start or end of the route (you will see that you have two options, the sports area or the old town). You will find information about the section in the following links on the website, which vary depending on the direction in which you want to do it:

We leave you with a photograph of the section, on which we have carried out some work on the surface, such as the one in the image below, hoping you like it and will be encouraged to do it!

The adaptation and signage works of the Girona sections of the route have been co-financed by the Girona Provincial Council and the different participating municipalities:
