As a consequence of the effects of Storm Gloria on the Tordera route, it is recommended that in the coming days you do not engage in activities along the sections of the Tordera route. Although water levels are slowly returning to their normal state, the paths are in very poor condition, with large amounts of water and mud, which make hiking and cycling an activity not recommended at this time, in addition to the effects on existing signage.
As you know, during the days of January 20th – 23rd, we suffered the passage of a very intense storm in the territory that left very significant volumes of precipitation, which caused the watercourses to flow to the maximum of their capacity, causing flooding throughout the Tordera basin. These floods have caused damage to the territory that will be resolved in order of preference, but in some cases, the impact is expected to last over time.
As a preventive measure, it is recommended that in the coming days you do not engage in activities along the sections of the Tordera route, especially those closest to the watercourses and above all the middle and lower sections of the river. In municipalities such as Hostalric, Massanes, Fogars de la Selva, Tordera, Palafolls, Malgrat de Mar, or Blanes, the impacts can be very significant.
