During this winter, we have been carrying out a review of the entire Tourdera route and issuing reports for each of the maintenance managers in every municipality, in order to detect problems on the route and prepare it in the best possible way for spring. If you are interested in knowing a little about the results, be sure to read this article!
As you know, every year we carry out two complete reviews of the route to verify its status and certify that its tracking is guaranteed. During this winter review, carried out between the months of December and January, a total of 102 incidents were detected distributed across the 18 municipalities participating in the route. A detailed report has been prepared for each town hall, which has a file for each incident, and which we send to the entity responsible for maintenance in the municipality in question.
In general, Tourdera maintenance is carried out in three ways: in some cases, it is the town hall itself that carries out improvement actions through its municipal brigade; in other cases, it is the maintenance team of the Montseny Natural Park; and finally, some municipalities outsource maintenance, either with the itinerary maintenance service of the La Selva County Council or, others, through the Acció Baix Montseny Foundation.
Although we have repeated it many times, the maintenance of the route is an extremely important aspect when it comes to offering a quality product for Tourdera users. That is why every year we carry out two complete reviews of the entire route and communicate everything detected to those responsible for maintenance in each municipality. Likewise, remember that we have a web form so that route users themselves can report any incidents you detect.
During the review carried out this winter, the highest number of incidents was, as always, regarding signage, a normal fact considering that there are more than 849 signage supports and 1,801 signs on the route. More specifically, in this review, 88 incidents regarding signage (86%) and 14 regarding sections (14%) were detected, exactly the same percentages as in the last review, but with a very important decrease in incidents (53 fewer incidents). Of all incidents, 68 were minor (67%), compared to the remaining 34 serious ones (37%), where serious incidents are those that can pose a significant risk of the user losing track of the route and getting lost. Finally, during the review tasks, 15 incidents (15%) were resolved on the ground, always keeping in mind that these are tasks that can be done taking advantage of the field visit, such as replacing Tourdera vinyls, straightening bent banners, etc. Of the rest of the incidents, 4 were already in the process of resolution (4%) and 83 were pending resolution (81%).

Here are some sample photos of some maintenance carried out recently:

We hope you enjoy all the sections of the Tourdera and, remember that if you detect incidents, you can communicate them through the web form!!!
