Permanent exhibitions: “Jaume’s Cowbells” and “Montseny Natural Park: A Dialogue Between Man and the Land” (all year round)
In the village of Montseny you can visit two permanent exhibitions, organized by the Town Council, open to the general public and free of charge:
1) Montseny Natural Park. A Dialogue Between People and the Land
Permanent exhibition divided into four sections: ‘From the First Settlements to the Decline of the Farmstead’, ‘The City Discovers the Mountains’, ‘From the Patronage Era to Montseny Natural Park’, and ‘The Future of the Natural Park’. It also features a map showing the evolution of the protected area and three display cases exhibiting various objects illustrating the historical periods of this protection. A short audiovisual presentation concludes the exhibition.
Starting time: Visits are available upon prior request at the information point or, once in the village, by visiting the information point and asking about availability for a guided visit.

2) Jaume’s Cowbells
The permanent exhibition ‘Jaume’s Cowbells’ is the result of a lifetime of dedication by Jaume Traveria Vila, first a shepherd in Montseny and later a passionate collector. For more than half a century, Jaume—with the constant support and encouragement of his wife, Montserrat Garriga—collected countless cowbells of different types and origins, creating an extraordinary collection of these small sound instruments, which for centuries were closely linked to the daily life of shepherds.
Starting time: The museum can be visited by prior reservation at the information point or, once in the village, by asking at the information point about availability for a guided visit.
