Autumn review of La Tourdera

This November, we have begun the second annual review of the Tourdera to verify the condition of the route and detect any incidents along the itinerary and signage. As we have explained on other occasions, the La Selva Regional Council, as the technical office of the project, carries out two complete reviews of the entire route annually and forwards all detected incidents to those responsible for maintenance in each municipality.

This November, we have begun the second annual review of the entire route. The objective of these reviews is to ensure the good condition of the route, as well as to verify that old incidents have been resolved by those responsible for maintenance in each area. Operationally, we have established two complete reviews of the route per year, in spring and autumn. During the reviews, we travel the entire route to detect any type of damage, whether to the signage or the path surface, that might cause problems with following the route or hinder its completion. Through our GIS, we register and track all incidents in order to carry out an exhaustive control of them and their resolution.

We remind you that any user of the route can communicate an incident they have detected while using it via a web form, or can contact us directly to report it. From the general coordination of the project, we are responsible for referring the incident to the entity responsible for the maintenance of that section or affected signage, and we follow up on its resolution.

As a general rule, the most common incidents on the Tourdera, as in any route with these characteristics, refer to the signage (signs, milestones, etc.), usually due to acts of vandalism or simply the passage of time and adverse weather conditions. For this reason, we recommend that before doing the route, you prepare the itinerary well or download the track, in case a signage element disappears at a certain point. Remember, moreover, that you can follow the route via Wikiloc, as the Tourdera is an ORG member of this platform and offers you tracking via outdoor navigation, which will always locate you on the map, as we explain in this news item on the website.

We hope you enjoy all the sections of the Tourdera during the autumn and winter months and that you send us any incidents you may detect via the web form!!!
