Massanes City Council has completed the rehabilitation works on the footbridge over the Santa Coloma stream in Massanes, which connects the train station with the C-35 road. The crossing at this point of the route suffered serious damage as a result of flooding, which meant the Tourdera passage was compromised.
After a few months with the route closed where it passes over the Santa Coloma stream in Massanes, as a result of a flood, since October 21st the passage has returned to normal following the completion of the rehabilitation works. Specifically, the damage was mainly located at the access points to the channeled area, which were dragged away by the water and prevented access to the channeled stream crossing.
Due to this incident, the section of the route between the station and the town of Massanes was closed to pedestrians, as it was necessary to cross the stream directly over the riverbed. Since October 21st, therefore, it is now possible to cross without problems at this point and, therefore, the section is restored. We leave you some images of the reconstruction:
