As many of you already know, the Tordera rises in the Montseny massif, between the Turó de l’Home (1712m) and the Matagalls (1696m), where it begins its descent to the Mediterranean Sea over approximately 61 kilometers. Although the landscape associated with the river changes from the upper to the lower sections, we present this video that shows us one of the images that comes to mind when thinking of the river, filmed in the municipality of Tordera.
During the descent of the Tordera’s waters, the morphology of its river course is varied; in the highest sections, we find a course that is very enclosed between steeper terrain, while in the middle and lower sections, it transforms into a very erratic, sedimentary course that changes significantly during the periodic floods to which it is subjected. This serpentine morphology is what comes to mind when we think of the Tordera, although over the years anthropic action has increasingly enclosed its course.
To visualize it in a more graphic way, we leave you this link to a video we found on the internet that you will surely like, by user Pedro Sarabia.
