During the past month of July, the complete inspection that is carried out every six months on the Tordera route and Arbúcies stream was performed. This was the 1st inspection of this year 2022, with the plan to perform the second one in November. All detected incidents have been reported to the different responsible parties for the maintenance of the route, which are the different participating town councils or those to whom they have outsourced the service.
As we have told you many times, the maintenance of the routes is a very important aspect in order to offer a quality product to the final users. On the Tourdera route, we carry out two complete inspections of the entire route annually, and we send everything detected to the maintenance managers of each municipality, together with the incidents we receive through the route users’ web form (www.tourdera.cat/incidencies). During the past month of July, the 1st annual inspection of the entire route, both of the surface and the signage, was carried out.
We have explained to you other times that the fact that it is such an extensive route that crosses up to 18 municipalities in 3 different counties means that maintenance is carried out by different entities depending on each case (Town Councils, County Councils, non-profit entities, Natural Park, etc.).
During the inspection carried out this July, the largest number of incidents was, as always, regarding signage, a normal fact considering that there are more than 800 signage points on the route. Specifically, 85% of the incidents were about signage, well above the 15% regarding the sections (surface). Furthermore, they are usually minor incidents, that is, of little importance and which do not compromise the correct following of the path, which in the last inspection accounted for 70%.

The most important thing is that the final result is a route where the correct following and safety of the users is guaranteed at all times. We leave you with some example photographs of some maintenance carried out so far this year 2022:

In other cases, the maintenance has been of much greater scale, such as the footbridge rebuilt in Santa Maria de Palautordera, inaugurated last June, or the future Ramió footbridge, currently under reconstruction by the Fogars de la Selva town council, and which we informed you about a few weeks ago, among others.
We hope you enjoy all the sections of the Tourdera and remember that if you detect incidents, you can communicate them to us through the web form! To finish, we leave you with this short video in Instagram Reel format about the inspections we carried out in the month of July.
