As we informed you a few months ago, the Grup Vadebici is an entity that promotes Slow-Biking, that is, the practice of cycling without rushing and enjoying the landscape. Among its activities, at the beginning of this 2022, the entity organized 3 outings along the Tordera route that brought together people from different parts of the Catalan geography, from Barcelona to Tarragona, passing through towns in the Maresme and the Vallès.
If you do not know the Grup Vadebici, it is an entity that brings together lovers of the bicycle and the whole world that surrounds it. In their proposal of activities, they highlight the organization of outings to take bicycle routes in the best places in Catalonia and enjoy the best cycle tourism. Their philosophy is to practice Slow-Biking, pedaling without rushing and enjoying the route and the surroundings at all times.
With the three activities organized this year (Brochure), the entity has already organized visits to the Tourdera on five occasions, since in 2020 it carried out two. In the photos below you can see the starting point of the activity at the Sant Celoni train station (left) and at the Maçanet-Massanes train station (right).

The outings, of great success in participation, consist of arriving at the start point of the route by public transport (train) or private car, carrying out the activity by doing a non-competitive ride to discover the territory, and arriving at the final destination, where there is again a train connection (line R1) to be able to return home. Within the activity, there are different stops and the atmosphere is always very relaxed and playful.

The outings organized this year, which had 55 participants, were:
- Sant Celoni – Hostalric – Blanes (12/02/2022)
- Sant Celoni – Hostalric – Blanes (27/02/2022)
- Massanes (station) – Hostalric – Malgrat de Mar (09/02/2022)
During the outings, the participants were able to discover places like the Wet Zone of Les Llobateres, which we showed you in a post a few days ago, the medieval town of Hostalric, the church of Sant Cebrià de Fogars, etc., always with the Tordera river as a witness.

These outings, which have a totally recreational aspect, have a low-medium difficulty, with approximate gradients of 150m, which are done on a mountain bike or Gravel bike and, most importantly, directed by Jordi, a certified mountain bike guide.
