Following the reviews carried out on the route during the months of October and November, various maintenance actions have been performed, mainly focused on vegetation control at different points of the itinerary in Palafolls, Blanes, Sant Esteve de Palautordera, and Arbúcies, or on replacing damaged signage.
During the last weeks of November, the municipalities of Palafolls, Blanes, Sant Esteve de Palautordera, and Arbúcies have carried out different maintenance actions on the Tourdera detected during the last review of the route, which we informed you about a few days ago.
Specifically, for the municipality of Palafolls, the municipal brigade, which is responsible for the maintenance of the route in the municipality of Palafolls, has carried out different actions focused on clearing and controlling reeds, which in some points were either covering the signage of the route or directly invading some points, making it difficult to pass, such as on the access ramp to the bridge that connects the route with the municipality of Blanes. Some signage improvement work has also been carried out.
Likewise, for the municipality of Blanes, where the city council has delegated the maintenance of the route to the Tourist Route Maintenance Service of the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, clearing of reeds and replacement of damaged signage have also been carried out.
On the other hand, the municipalities of Arbúcies and Sant Esteve de Palautordera have also carried out different actions recently. In the first case, Arbúcies also has the route maintenance service delegated to the Consell Comarcal de la Selva for a good part of its route, which has mainly carried out vegetation control. Regarding Sant Esteve de Palautordera, the city council has also carried out some vegetation clearing around route waymarkers, in this case with the municipal brigade’s resources.
