This year, the monitoring committee for the Tourdera project took place at the Museu de la Pagesia (Peasantry Museum) in Fogars de la Selva, one of the towns that participated in the birth of this initiative, which has resulted in a hiking and cycle tourism route of practically 200 kilometers.
The meeting began with the intervention of the mayor of Fogars de la Selva, Mr. Josep Vilà, who welcomed the attendees to the municipality and expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the meeting in his town, which has been involved in the project from the very beginning. Next, the Tourism Councilor of the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, Ms. Jennifer Pérez, intervened, thanking the 18 municipalities of the Tourdera for making the project possible and for allowing the objective of promoting the entire territory to be achieved, from the smallest municipalities, such as Fogars de la Selva, to municipalities with much larger populations.
Next, the Tourdera project technician proceeded to explain the main actions carried out within the framework of the project during 2024, as established in the tasks of the agreement signed between all project participants. During the open floor session, the various contributions made by the representatives of the different municipalities were debated, which will be analyzed and evaluated by the project’s technical office.
