The last weekend of March saw the 9th edition of Ecovita, an environmental fair aimed at highlighting sustainability, protecting our landscape and boosting the local economy through conscious proposals.
This year’s edition built alliances with key stakeholders such as the Social and Solidarity Economy through La Selva Compromesa, the Biosphere Reserve and the Parc Natural del Montseny, the Baixa Tordera Agricultural Area, Plant Based Treaty, Startart and Ecoviure, among other leading initiatives.
A tour of the fair’s spaces
The fair was organised into several themed spaces that allowed visitors to explore sustainability from different perspectives:
-
La Selva Compromesa Space: To discover the Strategic Plan for the Social and Solidarity Economy in the county of La Selva.
-
Biosphere Reserve Space: A showcase of projects and initiatives carried out in the Parc Natural del Montseny.
-
Start-art Space: promoted by local craftspeople and artists.
-
Associations Space: A meeting point with the local associative network, brought to life with workshops and activities.
-
Market Space: The ideal place to purchase local food and craft products.
-
Gastrodegust Space: Where live cooking and tastings took centre stage.
-
Ecoviure Space: A window onto local projects in Riells i Viabrea closely linked to Ecovita.
Throughout the weekend, the municipality came alive with workshops, gastronomic proposals and live music. The great public reception reaffirms the commitment to consolidating Ecovita as a benchmark sustainable event in the area.
