After a few weeks of construction, we can now announce that the Tourdera path through the “Camí del Molí” in Hostalric has been reopened. As we previously announced, as part of the implementation of the actions of the Sustainable Tourism Plan in Destination (PSTD) of La Selva interior, construction work began in the municipality of Hostalric on January 14th to improve this path, which will mean better safety and comfort for the route’s users.
The “Camí del Molí” is a path that connects the old town of Hostalric, from the Plaça dels Bous, with the orchard area located on the Tordera river plain. As you know, the path is used by the Tordera route and, as a result of the works, it remained closed to traffic for a few weeks. The intervention, which involved an investment of €32,751.77, included paving a steeply sloped section of the path, improving water drainage in the area, building a retaining wall on the steepest slope, and installing wooden railings. Thus, these actions improve the safety of path users at this point and guarantee better future conservation of the road surface.
