Start of the first annual review of the Tourdera

This month of May, we have initiated the first annual review of the Tourdera to verify the state of the route and detect all incidents in the itinerary and signage. From the Consell Comarcal de la Selva, as project coordinators, we carry out two complete reviews of the entire route annually and send all detected incidents to those responsible for maintenance in each municipality.

This month of May, we have started the first annual review of the entire route. With these reviews, we want to ensure the proper functioning and usability of the route, as well as to verify that old incidents have been resolved by the maintenance personnel in each area. That is why, twice a year, we travel the entire route to detect any type of issue, whether in the signage or on the surface, which could cause a tracking problem. Through our Geographic Information System, we register and monitor all incidents in order to carry out an exhaustive control of them and their resolution.

We remind you that any user of the route can report an incident they have detected while doing it, through a web form, or can contact us directly to communicate it. From the general coordination of the project, we are in charge of deriving the incident to the entity responsible for the maintenance of that section or affected sign, and we monitor its resolution.

As a general rule, the most common incidents on the Tourdera, as in any itinerary of these characteristics, refer to the signage (banners, markers, etc.), usually due to acts of vandalism or the passage of time and inclement weather. For this reason, we recommend that before doing the route, you prepare the itinerary well or download the track, in case a signage element disappears at a certain moment. Remember, in addition, that you can follow the route on Wikiloc, since the Tourdera is an ORG member of this platform and offers you tracking through outdoor navigation, which will always locate you on the map, just as we explain in this news item on the website.
