Improvements to the bike path along which the Tourdera of Passeig S’Abanell de Blanes passes

Blanes City Council, through the Aspronis Foundation, has carried out improvement works on the S’Abanell Promenade bike lane in Blanes, which runs from the Plaça dels Països Catalans to Avinguda del Mediterrani. This section, which coincides with the Tourdera path, represents a major improvement for the route! (Cover photo: Blanesaldia.com)

As the Blanesaldia web portal reports, if you have recently ridden the section at the start of the Tourdera in the municipality of Blanes, which coincides with the entire coastline as far as the mouth of the Tordera, you will see that the City Council has carried out important improvement work on the bike lane where cyclists on the route pass.

Specifically, several actions have been carried out by the Aspronis Foundation, which have consisted of repainting the intersections red, adding the bicycle logo, installing rubber blocks to separate the bike lane from the road where other vehicles circulate, etc. This has meant a significant improvement for the safety of cyclists passing through this point of the route. The separating blocks also have a reflective strip on the top so that they are clearly visible at night. Here are some photographs of the improvements.
