At the beginning of August, a small modification was made to the Tourdera route in the municipality of Fogars de Montclús. Specifically, the route has been simplified at a point between Mosqueroles and the Costa del Montseny, where there was a variant for hikers and one for bicycles, which have now been combined into a single path.
On August 1st, together with the Fogars de Montclús City Council, a modification was made to the Tordera route in the Can Parrac area. At this point, the route itinerary had a variant exclusive to hikers, along a dirt track, and a variant for bicycles, which largely took place on an asphalt road. Given that the Can Parrac track is of a size that meets accessibility requirements for bicycles, with sufficient width, it was decided to have the itinerary consist of all users passing through this path.

To carry out this change, it was necessary to change the signage, clearly indicating to users that they can pass along the path with the bicycle logo, while it was also necessary to remove signage from the old bicycle variant in the asphalted area.

While the change does not make any difference for hikers, for bicycle users it means passing through a quieter area, with no traffic and in a much more peaceful and natural environment. The current section, shared by both users, is 600 meters long and represents a saving of 500 meters for bicycle users.
We leave you this short video of the signage modification and we hope that the change of route is of interest to you (remember that you can consult the route of the entire path on the map on the website www.tourdera.cat!).
