On May 22nd, a small change was made to the Tourdera route in the municipality of Palafolls, with the aim of making the route safer and more attractive for users. Specifically, the route modification avoids the passage through the En Puigverd industrial estate, substantially improving the user experience in a quieter environment of forests and crops and, above all, much safer.
As part of the work with business owners that we carry out periodically with the Tourdera, a proposal arose in one of the meetings to modify part of the route in Palafolls, with the aim of substantially improving the safety of route users in the area of the Molí d’en Puigverd industrial estate, avoiding high-traffic areas. As a result of this proposal, the Selva County Council, the general coordinator of the project, drafted a “Proposal for the modification of the Tourdera route in Palafolls (Pol. Ind. Mas Puigverd)”, in which a proposal for the modification of the route and the signaling movement tasks necessary to make it a reality was presented.

After making the necessary visits with the city council and municipal technicians, and through the services of the municipal brigade, the signaling modification operations were carried out on May 21st and 22nd. Currently, with the new route, this section of the path coincides with the Maresme Path Network, specifically the east axis PR-C 145, so the action also serves to consolidate paths for hiking and cycle tourism uses.

The new route has a length of 1,275 m, avoids the industrial estate, and makes movement much safer for all users, in addition to making it more attractive in terms of landscape. The modification required minimal intervention, mainly moving existing signaling supports, and it was only necessary to create some new tracking signs with updated content.
We hope you can experience this new section of the route very soon!!! And remember that on the main page of the website you will find the updated route map, with all the changes, etc.
