In recent weeks, a small modification has been made to the Tourdera route in La Batllòria, within the municipality of Sant Celoni. Specifically, this change has been made to prevent bicycles from passing through areas where it is currently not permitted and, at the same time, to solve directional issues.
At the end of June, a small change was made to the Tourdera route in La Batllòria, where bicycle traffic at one point could pose a coexistence problem with pedestrians, while there were also incompatible directional issues.
Specifically, from the square of the Church of Our Lady of Hope (Plaça de l’Església de Nostra Senyora de l’Esperança), the route currently passes through the Carrer Major passageway to the Carretera Vella, where it now connects with the neighboring municipality of Riells i Viabrea, through the underpass of the C-35 road.
Despite these changes, some small adjustments regarding the connection with Gualba are still pending, where the installation of information signs is planned. In a short section of approximately 150m, bicycle users will have to dismount to avoid accidents.
These improvements are intended to avoid conflicts between bicycle users and pedestrians and to improve user safety and experience.
