On September 29th, the “New trends in tourism” conference took place in Girona, where different tourism projects were presented, analyzing the most current trends in the tourism field, and where the project and experience of the “Tordera River and Arbúcies Stream Route” was presented.
Within the framework of the PECT project «Costa Brava Pirineu de Girona: natura, cultura i intel·ligència en xarxa», a debate day was held last Thursday, September 29th, to analyze “New trends in tourism”. The day mainly consisted of the presentation of various current experiences in the tourism field, such as the case of Canet-en-Roussillon in Northern Catalonia, the PGA Catalunya Resort project, the Greenways of Girona, or two innovative projects developed in the Cerdanya region, focused on the role of women and the adaptation of Cerdanya’s heritage.
Likewise, another of the projects presented was the “Tordera River and Arbúcies Stream Route”, which was used to summarize the journey to reach the current state of the project, as well as to analyze aspects related to sustainable tourism. The day was very interesting and enriching, and it was complemented with a final question-and-answer session to resolve doubts and issues.
