Presentació Tourdera a Fitur 2026

Presentation of the Tourdera project at Fitur 2026

Within the framework of the Madrid International Tourism Fair, held between January 21 and 25, the Tourdera Technical Office presented the project as part of the presentation program organized by the Catalan Tourism Agency.

FITUR is the most influential tourism event at the state level, bringing together professionals, companies, international destinations, and visitors interested in tourism and current trends. Taking this into account, the La Selva Regional Council presented the Tourdera tourism product, in the same way that in 2025 it presented the Vescomtat de Cabrera tourism product.

Specifically, the presentation took place at the Catalan Tourism Agency (ACT) stand and was attended by the Vice President of the Regional Council, Albert Sanz, the Councilor for Tourism, Jennifer Pérez, and the technician from the territory promotion department, Marc Corominas. The presentation emphasized the project as a fluvial tourism product, consisting of an experience to discover the territory through the common thread of the Tordera River and the Arbúcies stream, with their landscapes and heritage as protagonists.

The product, which became a reality in 2019 once the latest signage works were executed, was born as a local development project to diversify the coastal tourism offer, help de-seasonalize the sector, and boost local economies, especially in inland municipalities with little capacity to attract visitors.

As main novelties, it was announced at the fair that, besides being able to consume the route by sections (in 29 sections from town to town) or entirely (in 4 modalities), a digital planner will be available from the summer onwards so that users can customize their own route. The service directory was also unveiled, a catalog of companies adhering to the project which should be the starting point for tourism agencies to take advantage of this infrastructure that brings together 18 municipalities in the Tordera basin.

Before finishing, where the promotional video of the route was shown, emphasis was also placed on the project’s governance system. This is based, first, on the figure of a Technical Office managed by the La Selva Regional Council, which guarantees the proper functioning of the project. And, secondly, on a decision-making system based on monitoring committees that periodically brings together the 18 participating town councils.

The Tourdera project includes the participation of the town councils of Arbúcies, Blanes, Breda, Fogars de la Selva, Fogars de Montclús, Gualba, Hostalric, Malgrat de Mar, Massanes, Montseny, Palafolls, Riells i Viabrea, Sant Celoni, Sant Esteve de Palautordera, Sant Feliu de Buixalleu, Santa Maria de Palautordera, Tordera, and Vallgorguina.

Many thanks to the town councils that accompanied us today and to all those who attended the presentation!
