Do you know the guided walk program of the Network of Natural Parks? This program, aimed at the general public and families, allows you to learn about the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Natural Parks Network through the guidance of expert and trained people. In this short article, we explain a little more about these guided tours and encourage you to participate, especially in the Montseny!
To know a territory well, it is always better to discover corners through its people, who love the territory and do so from knowledge and respect. Following this philosophy, the figure of the local guide appears, a fundamental figure in natural parks and, specifically, in the Montseny Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve, where the Tordera river is born and a large part of the Tordera route runs.

Guides are trained people and great connoisseurs of the territory who, through their guidance, will allow you to discover the environment in a unique and respectful way. Their explanations will help you better recognize the biodiversity of the area and delve into local traditions and customs. In addition, with nature guides you will achieve:
- Contribute to the socioeconomic development of the mountain
- Immerse yourself in a world full of legends and stories of the territory
- Learn to recognize the biodiversity that surrounds you
- Discover new places, often very interesting and surprising
- Participate in outings that respect the environment

You will find all kinds of outings, such as night observation outings, migratory and nesting bird outings, outings dedicated to the geological landscape, fauna and flora, and outings to discover the built heritage and the human footprint on the territory.

In the Montseny Natural Park you will find a wide range of guiding companies that will accompany you in its discovery, some of them accredited with the CETS (European Charter for Sustainable Tourism). You can consult the guided tours scheduled throughout the year – through the Guided Walks program organized from the park – or, if you prefer, request a tailor-made visit for small groups, according to your tastes and interests.
