As you know, Storm Gloria had very negative consequences for all the municipalities through which the Tordera and Arbúcies stream route (Tourdera) runs. Even, due to the high cost of many of the reconstruction works, and with the pandemic in between, some of the actions have not yet been carried out.
This is not the case, however, for the footbridge in the La Serra neighborhood in Santa Maria de Palautordera. We have the good news to announce that, after many months, the City Council of Santa Maria de Palautordera has been able to rebuild this footbridge, which is already in operation, and allows passage over the Tordera River in the sections between Santa Maria and Vallgorguina or Sant Celoni. With the restoration of the passage through the usual place, the marking of the alternative itinerary that had been enabled to keep the section active has already been removed.
We would also like to announce that an official inauguration is planned for next May 28th and, if you feel like it, we encourage you to visit it, as it is currently fully operational. We also leave you some current images and images of the effects of the storm.
