Maintaining routes is a very important aspect when it comes to offering a quality product to end users. On the Tourdera route, we carry out two complete revisions of the entire route annually and, regarding all detected incidents, we send everything detected to those responsible for maintenance in each municipality. During the month of November, the 2nd annual revision of the entire route was carried out on the Tourdera.
During this month of November, the 2nd annual revision of the entire Tordera and Arbúcies stream route has been completed. In order to guarantee and detect everything that happens on the route, we annually carry out two complete revisions of the entire itinerary, where we detect incidents on the surface or in the signage of the route. All the incidents detected during these revisions, together with the incidents we receive from the users’ web form (www.tourdera.cat/incidencies), are sent to those responsible for maintenance in each municipality. Below you can see two images with a maintenance operation after it was detected during the revisions that vegetation was hiding the route signage.

The fact that it is such an extensive route that spans up to 18 municipalities in 3 different counties means that maintenance is carried out by different entities depending on each case (City Councils, County Councils, non-profit organizations, Natural Park, etc.). The most important thing is that the final result is a route where the correct tracking and safety of users is guaranteed at all times. The following photo shows a maintenance operation consisting of the replacement of a missing tracking milestone.

During the revisions, the largest number of incidents falls on signage, a normal fact considering that there are more than 400 sign supports on the route. For example, in the last revision carried out during the month of November, 82% of the incidents were on signage, well above the 18% on the sections (surface). Furthermore, they are usually minor incidents, that is, of little importance and that do not compromise the correct following of the path, which in the last revision accounted for 74%.

We hope you enjoy all the sections of the Tourdera and, remember that if you detect incidents, you can communicate them to us via the web form!!! To finish, we leave you with this short video in Instagram Reel format about the revisions and maintenance of the route.
