As you know, after the Gloria storm in 2020, the footbridge that crossed the Tordera in Santa Maria de Palautordera disappeared, interrupting the path of the Tourdera. As a result of this unforeseen event, an alternative itinerary was provided, which you can follow perfectly, and which is perfectly signposted by the City Council of Santa Maria de Palautordera on a provisional basis.
The section of the Tordera route between Avinguda de la Serra and Carrer Maresma, in the town of Santa Maria de Palautordera, crossed the Tordera river over a red metal footbridge. This footbridge was swept away by the Gloria storm (red section on the map) and, consequently, the passage through this point of the route was cut off and it was not possible to cross the river.
In order to overcome this obstacle, the City Council of Santa Maria de Palautordera has signposted a provisional diversion of the itinerary on the ground, which you can also consult via its track via wikiloc (orange section on the map), or view it on the interactive map on the website. It is a diversion that takes place through the Can Vernedes industrial estate, but which also runs through a natural area right next to the Tordera river. We leave you with the map of the diversion, as well as some photographs of the signage and the layout.
