The Tordera route section between Tordera and Palafolls is 6.3 kilometres long and runs largely along the Tordera riverside promenade, making it a route of low difficulty. The itinerary begins in front of the Pont de Ferro, where you will find the route information panel and a first signpost indicating the direction towards Palafolls, and ends in the town of Palafolls. Almost half of the route follows the Tordera riverside promenade, completely separated from traffic, while the remainder follows very low-traffic forest tracks or urban areas. Remember that throughout the route you should not leave the marked path and must follow the route signage. You should also always respect the safety and nature-respect recommendations. To reach the start of the route, please note that Tordera train station is located very close to the route and is clearly signposted from the beginning of the section all the way to the station itself, where you will also find a route information panel.

The Tourdera Route between Tordera and Palafolls follows the same itinerary for both hikers and cyclists. In total, it is approximately 6.3 kilometres long, with a cumulative ascent of only 40 metres, making the overall difficulty of the route very low. At the start of the route, in front of the Pont de Ferro in Tordera, you can enjoy excellent views of the river and consult the route information panel located right beside it. Parking is also available in this area if you arrive by car. Please note that Sundays are market days in Tordera, and the market attracts a large number of visitors every week, so the first part of the route can be quite busy and parking availability may be limited.
To begin the route, head southeast, following the indications on the first route signpost towards Palafolls. For more than 2 kilometres, you can walk or cycle along the Tordera riverside promenade, right beside the river, on a peaceful path completely separated from traffic. When the promenade ends, continue along a forest track and pass through the Puigverd industrial estate, which you will soon leave behind as you follow another forest track through woodland and farmland towards the Molí d’en Puigverd. The mill itself is located about 300 metres off the route, but you may wish to make a short detour to visit it. This site currently houses the non-profit private foundation El Molí d’en Puigverd. At this point, you can also enter the adjacent wet woodland for a short rest.
Continuing along the itinerary, you will head towards the Pla de Mas Tortòs, an agricultural area currently occupied by plant nurseries, which you will follow along a forest track that leads directly to Palafolls. Once in Palafolls, if you still have energy, you can visit the Castell de Palafolls by leaving the route for about 1,400 metres, or explore several of the town’s distinctive buildings designed by renowned architects, such as the Palauet and the library, among others. You can also take advantage of the services available in Palafolls, including shops, bars and restaurants.
