On February 2nd, a group of 19 cyclists guided by the “Va de bici” group gathered at Maçanet-Massanes station to begin a descent along the Tourdera Route. The Grup Vadebici is an entity that promotes “Slow-Biking”, which is the practice of cycling without rush and while enjoying the landscape.
Since 2020, the Grup Vadebici has already organized numerous activities following sections of the Tourdera, bringing together people from different parts of Catalonia who are interested in discovering the territory while doing sports. The outings organized by Vadebici consist of arriving at the start point of the route via public transport (train) or private car, developing the activity by doing a non-competitive ride to discover the area, and arriving at the final destination, where there is once again a train connection to get back home. Within the activity, there are different stops and the atmosphere is always very relaxed and playful.
The day began at a good pace for the 19 attendees, with key stops in Hostalric, where they took the opportunity to take the group photo seen at the beginning of the article, to keep as a memory. Then they continued to Fogars de la Selva, to finish at a charming farmhouse, where a magnificent “calçotada” menu had been prepared. After lunch, the whole group enjoyed good company, laughter, and even a bit of dancing!! A fantastic day that ended in Blanes, continuing the route along the Tourdera, just before it got dark.
