A few weeks ago we announced that Palafolls and Malgrat de Mar had joined the Tordera Route and Arbúcies Stream project. Well, now we can announce that Blanes is also a member of the route and, therefore, there are now 18 municipalities adhering to the project. As we had mentioned, the route will start in the coastal area from both the Girona side (Blanes) and the Barcelona side (Malgrat de Mar).
As we commented in the latest news article, the “Tordera Route and Arbúcies Stream” is a project born with the support of the various town councils involved, including Blanes. So much so that with the formalization and signing of the agreement, Blanes is the last municipality on the route to join this project, which seeks to create a hiking and cycle tourism route that allows following the course of the river and some of its tributaries, as an element of territorial development.
In the municipality of Blanes, the route will start in the town center itself and a link with the train station will be sought, while it will also head towards the Tordera and its mouth, using the paths currently in existence and following the project’s homogeneous signage.
As in the rest of the municipalities, adherence to the project is materialized with the signing of a collaboration agreement between the Consell Comarcal de la Selva and the town council. We hope that in the very near future the Tordera route will have signage as it passes through Blanes, following the approximate layout that you can consult in the itinerary section of the website.
