Last Saturday, June 11, at 12 noon, the long-awaited inauguration of the footbridge over the Tordera River took place in the Serra neighborhood of Santa Maria de Palautordera. This footbridge disappeared during the serious floods of Storm Gloria, which very seriously affected the entire Tordera basin.
As we informed you a few days ago in a previous news item, the Santa Maria de Palautordera City Council completed the reconstruction works of the Serra neighborhood footbridge a few weeks ago, which allows passage over the Tordera River on the sections between Santa Maria and Vallgorguina or Sant Celoni. With the restoration of the passage in its usual place, the marking of the alternative itinerary that had been enabled to keep the section active was also removed.
The official inauguration took place on a festive day accompanied by the Gegants and Grallers of Palautordera group, the Gitanes of Palautordera group, the Municipal Music School of Palautordera, and the Neighborhood Association of the Serra neighborhood. We leave you here a video of the activity, as well as some photographs provided by the city council itself.
