Improvements and new features on the Tourdera website

As you may have noticed, the Tordera route website has undergone some improvements, ranging from changes in branding, transitioning towards a more consolidated project, to improvements in usability for the user, such as much more explanatory section fact sheets, tracks for doing the entire route, etc.

Since April, the Tourdera website has undergone several changes to make route information easier and more accessible for users. Below is a summary of the main changes applied:

  1. Better visibility of route disruptions: both on the general itinerary map and through access to information on each disruption, starting from the route’s home page.
  2. Weather forecasts and warnings: the home page now provides access to weather forecasts, as well as any relevant notices for those interested in doing the route.
  3. Activities: a new web section has been activated to publicize activities in the municipalities along the route that may be of interest to users and that they can enjoy while doing a section of the route.
  4. Section fact sheets: the section fact sheets have been substantially improved, incorporating interactive maps, altitude profiles, technical data summaries, etc., making them much easier to consult.
  5. Section selection: to make it easier to search for sections to do the route, in addition to the interactive map where you can access the selected section’s fact sheet on the map, a selector has been added based on the departure municipality or the desired difficulty.
  6. New full-route modality: in response to requests from many users interested in knowing the entire route, this new modality has been added, with the same information as the section fact sheets and their tracks. This new modality is offered in 4 versions:
    1. From the source to the mouth (Blanes), following the Tordera River
    2. From the source to the mouth (Blanes), via the Arbúcies stream

    3. From the source to the mouth (Malgrat de Mar), following the Tordera River

    4. From the source to the mouth (Malgrat de Mar), via the Arbúcies stream

  7. Blog: the old news page is now a blog, where, in addition to publishing route news (updates, improvements, etc.), articles related to hiking and cycle tourism will also be published.

We hope all these improvements are to your liking, and if you have any recommendations, do not hesitate to contact us!
