More information about this section…

The section between La Batllòria and Riells i Viabrea is a short walk of scarcely 2 kilometres in length, very easy and completely flat, linking the village of La Batllòria with the Town Hall of Riells i Viabrea (Can Salvà). To follow the route, you only need to follow the wayfinding signs, which may be the typical signposts mounted on wooden poles or smaller signs attached to existing street furniture (lampposts, traffic signs, etc.), generally in urban areas. In addition, you will also find yellow painted trail markers. Their meaning follows the standard code used on painted routes: a single line indicates that you are on the correct path, a cross indicates that you are on the wrong path, and a 90° angle marker indicates a sharp change of direction or a turn.

The section begins at the junction of Carrer de la Tordera and Carrer de les Escoles, where you will find the route information panel. Parking is available throughout the surrounding area. Following the signs, you must first walk down Carrer de la Tordera towards the football field, where you will see a signpost directing you onto the Riells and Breda branch of the route, heading towards Carrer Camí Ral. Following the signs, you will continue along Carrer Montnegre to the Church of Mare de Déu de l’Esperança and, from there, directly towards Riells. To cross the C-35 road, you will use a completely safe underpass. If you are travelling by bicycle, there is also a small side ramp next to the stairs to help you move your bicycle down.

Once you have crossed the road, you will be within the municipality of Riells i Viabrea. You should continue along Carrer de Santa Fe, pass beneath the railway tracks through the underpass and, on the other side, take Avinguda del Ferrocarril, which runs parallel to the railway line and will lead you directly to the Town Hall. On the final section, you will notice several improvements made to the route surface to enhance user safety, particularly through painted markings and vertical warning signs for vehicles. When you arrive at the Town Hall, you will have reached the end of the section, and you will find the route information panel beside the road.
