First active section of the route!

Great news! Since June, the first section of the Tordera route has been available, specifically from the source of the river at Font Bona in Sant Marçal, in the heart of the Montseny Natural Park, to the town of Montseny. So, if you don’t have any plans this summer, we suggest a fresh and pleasant getaway that will allow you to discover the source of the Tordera river.

Tourdera Project News

We are very happy that in recent days the Tourdera project has been featured in two media outlets, El Nou9 and El Punt Avui, in their Vallès and Maresme editions, respectively. Although there is still a long way to go, the first results are already appearing and they greatly encourage us to continue forward in such an exciting project.

Signage works in the municipality of Montseny

During this first semester of 2016, work has begun on the adaptation and signage of the section of the “Tordera Route and Arbúcies Stream” in the municipality of Montseny, which becomes the first of the participating municipalities to make the project a reality. Very soon, once the signage is installed, we will inform you of the completion of the works.

Follow-up meeting

On April 29th, the first follow-up meeting of the Tourdera project for the current year 2016 took place at the Hostalric town hall. All the involved town councils that have signed a collaboration agreement attended the meeting, and three possible new municipalities to be incorporated into the route, such as Malgrat de Mar, Blanes, and Vallgorguina, were welcomed.

Finally, after working over the last few months on the Tourdera project website, we can now announce that we have activated the page to keep you well informed about the project, the latest news, the future route, the sections we will be activating, the collaborators, etc. And everything is well linked with the different social networks where we will be publishing everything that happens around the project.

It has finally snowed on Montseny.

Although this year has been one of the warmest and driest winters we remember in the Tordera basin, we will finally say goodbye to winter with some good snowfall at the highest points of the Montseny! During the fieldwork we have been doing in the municipality of Montseny, we sometimes encountered an unexpected obstacle, but one that deep down we all like: snow.

Although the Tourdera project is still in the gestation process, it is necessary to begin the process of making it known, especially this year, the first one in which we will inaugurate practicable sections. For this reason, we have opened the social media profiles that we thought were most appropriate to inform hikers and cyclists about the latest news, post photos, interact with users, etc.

Graphic identity of the project

After several months of work, the graphic identity of the “Ruta de la Tordera i riera d’Arbúcies” project is now a reality. After brainstorming an original, descriptive, intrinsic, and universal naming, the Girona-based company la Perruquera, in charge of the task, has created a logo that encompasses both sea and mountain in a single design to showcase one of the route’s main attractions: connecting the Montseny and the Mediterranean.
