Completion of the upgrade works on the “Camí del Molí” in Hostalric

After a few weeks of construction, we can now announce that the Tourdera path through the “Camí del Molí” in Hostalric has been reopened. As we previously announced, as part of the implementation of the actions of the Sustainable Tourism Plan in Destination (PSTD) of La Selva interior, construction work began in the municipality of Hostalric on January 14th to improve this path, which will mean better safety and comfort for the route’s users.

The Va de Bici Group has organized a new activity for the Tourdera.

On February 2nd, a group of 19 cyclists guided by the “Va de bici” group gathered at Maçanet-Massanes station to begin a descent along the Tourdera Route. The Grup Vadebici is an entity that promotes “Slow-Biking”, which is the practice of cycling without rush and while enjoying the landscape.

As part of the deployment of one of the actions of the Sustainable Tourism Plan for the Destination (PSTD) of Inner La Selva – Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU, on January 14th, works began in the municipality of Hostalric for the adaptation of the so-called “Camí al Molí” (Mill Path), belonging to a section of the Tourdera.

Signage improvements in Hostalric

A few days ago, some improvements were made in Hostalric to the directional signage of the trail signs following the route through the municipality. Specifically, directional signs that had suffered from vandalism were replaced, some had even disappeared, and at the same time, a route information panel was relocated to the train station car park and some vegetation pruning was carried out that was blocking route signs.

Cycle of business meetings to participate in the Tourdera project

During the coming weeks, several meetings will take place at different points in the Tourdera territory, aimed at local companies that offer services to potential users of the route (accommodation, catering, activities, nature, guiding, sale/rental/repair of bicycles, etc.). The goal is to offer the possibility of appearing in the website’s service directory and on the route’s interactive map.

New scheduled rides by the Vadebici Group along the Tourdera route

The Grup Vadebici, an entity that promotes Slow-Biking, i.e., the practice of cycling without rush and enjoying the landscape, has planned several outings along the Tordera route for the beginning of 2022, as part of the outings it organizes periodically along bike lanes, greenways, rural roads, etc.

Signage detour from the main route between Hostalric and Fogars

As we have announced repeatedly, Storm Gloria caused significant damage to the Tourdera route, especially between the municipalities of Hostalric and Fogars de la Selva. Specifically, the route was cut off across the Tordera, and while the crossing remains unrepaired, this week signage has been installed for the route on the other side of the river.
