On 13 October, a presentation of the “Tordera and Arbúcies Stream Route” project was held at Masia Can Figueres in Gualba and was open to the general public. During the presentation, the route was introduced, while the project as a whole and its ultimate goal as a territorial development initiative were also explained.
On Friday, 13 October, a presentation on the Tordera and Arbúcies Stream Route was held in Gualba. During the event, it was explained how the initiative began as a territorial development project that took shape through the creation of a hiking and cycle touring route between Montseny and the Mediterranean (Costa Brava and Barcelona Coast), two major tourist destinations.
The event also provided an opportunity to present more specific aspects of the route, such as its signage, course, connecting itineraries, alternative routes for hikers, access from train stations, where to find information about the route, and more. The section of the route through the municipality of Gualba was explained in greater detail, along with the new tool made available to local businesses so that they can showcase their services within the framework of the project.
The event concluded with a screening of the route’s promotional video, which follows the Tordera River from its source to its mouth and provides an excellent overview of the route. You can watch it here. Finally, the floor was opened to questions from those attending the event.
