Riells and Viabrea section – La Batllòria
As we mentioned last week, the Tourdera has some routes that we call “link” routes, which are branches of the route itself that connect population centers near the Tordera, but are not located right next to the river itself. This is the case, for example, of the section we present today, which connects Riells i Viabrea with La Batllòria, from where you can access the main route.
Gaserans – La Batllòria section
Continuing with the publication of information about new Tourdera sections on the website, today we present the section between Gaserans (municipality of Sant Feliu de Buixalleu) and La Batllòria (municipality of Sant Celoni). This section has the peculiarity that it takes a part of the Tourdera’s main itinerary, that is, along the Tordera river, and another part forms part of the itinerary along the Riera d’Arbúcies, next to the Arbúcies stream.
Blanes – Malgrat de Mar section
We present a new active section of the Tourdera, this time between the municipalities of Blanes and Malgrat de Mar. In the previous news, we presented the first of the sections of the route that start from Blanes, specifically between Blanes and Palafolls, a section in which important work had to be carried out on the surface. Part of this same section coincides with the one that leads to Malgrat de Mar and here we present it to you!
Blanes – Palafolls section
Blanes has been the last municipality to finish the adaptation and signage work for the Tordera and Arbúcies stream route. We present here the section between Blanes and Palafolls, which has incorporated an important intervention on the GI-682 road bridge and the access to the train station, in addition to the entire signposting process for the route, which links these two towns with complete safety.
Maçanet-Massanes train station link
Did you know that the Maçanet-Massanes train station is connected to the Tordera and Arbúcies stream route? Well, yes, there is a section between Massanes and the train station, signposted like the rest of the route, that allows you to arrive by train and start the route first towards Massanes and then continue it to Hostalric, where it links up with the main itinerary of the route.
Massanes – Fogars de la Selva section
We continue to present the recently activated sections of the Tourdera, this time between the church of Sant Cebrià de Fogars (in Fogars de la Selva) and the village of Massanes. On this section, approximately halfway through, you will pass very close to the town of Hostalric, where you can take the opportunity to make a short stop by deviating slightly from the path.
Hostalric – Massanes section
We now have the information available for the new Tourdera section between the village of Massanes and the medieval town of Hostalric. Specifically, it is one of the link itineraries from towns located outside the Tordera riverbed towards the main itinerary of the route. This same case as Massanes can also be found in Gualba, Vallgorguina, Breda, or Riells i Viabrea, all of them with small itineraries that lead from the town center towards the route.
Hostalric – La Batllòria Section
Continuing with the task of offering all the information on the new sections of the Tourdera, you can now download the tracks and get information on the section that links Hostalric with the center of La Batllòria (Sant Celoni). This section was one of the last sections of the route’s main itinerary, which can now be done from the source (Montseny) to the mouth (Malgrat de Mar or Blanes).
Castle de Montsoriu – Gaserans section
If you are interested in the new sections of the Tourdera, you can now download the tracks and get information on the section that links Montsoriu Castle and the center of Gaserans, in Sant Feliu de Buixalleu. Like the last three sections we have announced, this is the Tourdera itinerary that follows the path of the Arbúcies stream, which will allow you to discover some very interesting places in the territory such as the flagship Castle of the Viscounty of Cabrera.
